Let me reset – I didn’t care because I have us at 12-4 for the season. If we’re going to lose, I would rather it be to a good team vs. a crappy team. So, I wouldn’t have cried over the loss…but it’s so much sweeter with the WIN!

I want to have a poll where we ask Steelers “fans” outside of PA why they are fans. It will simply be that and a few questions about the teams history-I promise you most would not know.

First of all, I don’t think the media, nor sportscasters EVER gush over us til we’re winning. I mean, no one on ESPN picked the Steelers to win, right? (I don’t know for sure because I was still on train when that was going on but Mary said they didn’t). Also, they started as they always do, with how terrible we look (and not that we didn’t) but I say the same thing I tell Steelerboy when he’s pacing and whining 2 minutes into the game, “Dude, it’s early.”
I don’t know about lots of bandwagon fans. Nearly everyone I know who is a Pittsburgh fan either grew up in PA or their parents did. Steelerboy has never lived in PA, was born in San Diego, is he bandwagon? Nope, he is genetically predestined to be a Steelers fan. Therefore, I think there are just a lot of parents, kids etc who have ties to PA who live all over.
And you think the gushing is going on now? Wait until we whoop the Bengals this weekend. *crosses fingers*
It’s crunch time. It’s now the time to seal a playoff spot. I really didn’t care if we won last night, which is probably why I am even more excited that we did. I really only care about beating the Bengals and the Ravens at this point, the rest is gravy.
Do you want to come over and wave terrible towels with me? lol.

Ok-I’m separating from my usual Steeler hater to be objective here. I just about vomited listening to the guys in the booth drool over the Steelers all night like a 12yr old girl at a Jonas Brothers concert.
Invesco did not look like Heinz-come on. They were loud in pregame BECAUSE THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE THERE YET. Tirico just felt obligated to keep mentioning it. Everyone says the Steelers travel well-is that true or do they just have the biggest bandwagon? I give you that it was a great win for you guys but the over-hyped gushing from the media has to stop.

I actually did see them, she was shaking her head and he was smiling lol. There were a ton of things that went through my head last night that I realize I left out of the post. I should really try live blogging, but it takes away from watching the game. *sigh* maybe at some point I will catch it all in a post. GREAT game though. Can’t wait til next week now!!!
