The Mile High Salute
It was a long and intensely fought season. Some forgot about the league while others stuck with it. In the end, I was robbed by the Indianapolis Colts.
Lee and I are planning some pretty big site changes in terms of look and feel. One of the first things I am migrating and changing are the forums we use. I am upgrading them to something more functional, and they will be down for a couple days. This is in an effort to make the experience better and make them more useful and active.
I cannot believe it. It is not that I thought the Avs would be bad this season but I certainly did not see this start coming, especially with the new and youthful faces this year. Never mind the new net minder that was a "cast off".
On August 14, 2009 the Madden 2010 will hit the shelves and the thousands of gamers and football fans alike who have put it on reserve will be able to pick it up and spend all day and night perfecting the next version of the all-favorite sports game.
Unfortunately for a few Tailgate365.com members, that day comes after they leave on deployment with no connection to the outside world. See, these guys live on a submarine for months at a time, protecting our rights. Rights to keep on playing Madden till our fingers hurt and our eyes cry for sleep. These sailors, with not much to do, literally under water, spend all of their time eating, working, sleeping and of course, gaming.
But thanks to EA Sports and their commitment to our troops, they will get underway with a copy of the latest version of Madden.
"We are supremely grateful for the dedication and hard work that the troops provide
to our country on a daily basis. It is an honor to give them an opportunity to
enjoy their downtime with Madden NFL 10," said EA Sports spokesperson, Rob Semsey.
I decided to mix things up a little yesterday and tried a couple of new things including an experiment with some pueblo green chile we had in the freezer. Typically every year we purchase a couple bushels of green chile and use it in a lot of what we cook. If you have never tried it by the way, you are missing out. Forget the canned, store-bought crap...this is the ONLY way to go with green chile.
