Here comes the blame game.

Liverpool V Arsenal

Have to say the man that said it’s a game of two half’s was a very wish man, after the dismal season so far, I have to say I loved watching Liverpool in the first half against Arsenal, I was watching my beloved Liverpool playing the way they used to, and Arsenal didn’t know how to handle them.

Then came the second half, wow ok somebody kick me what happened? This is role reverse here, was I asleep, oh no what happened was that Arsenal came out firing and Liverpool whatever happened in those 15 minutes were in a coma, now ok yes at the end of the day it’s up to the 22 players on the pitch, but lets for a moment look at what happened.

Liverpool were unstoppable in the first half, Arsenal didn’t really get out of the starting blocks, half time, 15 minutes of the manager doing his thing to motivate the players and get them out there fighting cause they need to win, look at Arsenal that’s the way they came out, look at Liverpool? What did Rafa do? Tell them to relax cause if we win the fans might think the team were getting back in form??, Rafa mate it’s meant to motivate the team at half time not destroy them.

In a recent online poll 80% yes you read it right 80% of fans want Rafa gone, hope it was a poll of 100 fans, cause if so it’s now 81%, I mean come on am I missing something here, in Istanbul he got them in at half time and got them so pumped up they went out and played the game of there lives, please someone tell me WTF did he do this time?

Rafa mate the parties over your going home you need to go home, fans are already talking about putting plague cards on the gates of Anfield, a wish man knows when he’s not wanted, so be a man,,,,,

Liverpool 1 – 2 Arsenal

Well what a weekend of football in the Premiership it has been, Chelsea only drew, Man Utd losing to Villa, and Arsenal coming to Anfield Rd, what a chance for Liverpool to turn their whole season around and earn 3 points that could keep them in a top four race for the end of the season.

Well all seemed to be going to plan, Dirk Kuyt opened the scoring, but a mistake by Glen Johnson scoring an OG brought it level again, then from a simple cross Arshavin put it into the back of the net for Arsenals second, and that’s the way it stayed, but it has to be said Lucas had a great game despite all the slagging he’s getting he is starting to improve , ok now onto my RANT!

Well, well, well, Rafa what the F£@K did you do? You know I listen and read a lot of posts on Liverpool’s websites about the Yanks this and the Yanks that, but to be honest put yourself in their shoe’s for a second, they invest money into the club and what are they getting in return, abuse from fans, and a bloody manager that’s is trying his hardest to get sacked.

During the week on Sky sports Graham Souness had a rant about Liverpool being in meltdown and a lot of fans bitched and moaned about his rant.

Well all I’ll say about his rant is that unlike the yanks and Rafa, Graham has a love and passion for the club.

But can someone please tell me why was Alberto Aquilani was not in the starting line up? Rafa you muppet this was his chance to shine, this was Liverpool’s chance to get back in the race, this was the chance for fan’s and club to get some pride back, all gone and no one can blame any other person other than one man, how can one man have so much spite for a club that he can turn it from one for the top clubs in Europe to what they are today, and no I’m not going say what they are at the moment because unlike Rafa I love Liverpool too much to say or even think bad of them, but what I will say is that if someone doesn’t get rid of the Spanish Popeye sooner rather than later, I can see Liverpool playing Newcastle next year.

Now I see Rafa saying that it doesn’t change anything as they are still targeting the 4th place in the league to secure a Champions League place for next season, FFS you muppet this in Anfield, this is Liverpool, who bloody wants to 4th place? The fans, the players, the owners everyone else bar our Mr Bloody Rafa wants to win, but no it’s all good cause the so-called bloody manager just wants 4th place, so what’s he going be saying when he doesn’t get it????

Well it’s been a while and a lot has happened, Liverpool beat Everton, home derby win is always a good thing to set a team back on the right track, but as per the rest of the season it didn’t last long.

On Wednesday Liverpool were at home to Florentina, and after getting the first goal did as they have in pervious match’s and let them back into it and score a late winning goal Liverpool 1 – 2 Florentina, nice way to finish in Europe.

OK so what’s next? Sunday sees the return of Arsenal to Anfield Rd, if Liverpool want to finish in the top four this season they have to win on Sunday, anything less won’t cut it.

For the Arsenal game Rafa has the full squad to chose from with Gerrard & Torres ready to play, and the bonus of maybe seeing what Aquilani can do leads to the possibility of an exicting match.

Liverpool are in dismay at the moment or so it seems, they seem to take one step forward and two back, but with most if not all of the first team back in action with the bonus of Aquilani, now is the time for the silly mistakes, the bad form the excuses to stop and the play begin, come on guys make us proud, make every Pool fan scream and cheer at the TV on Sunday, let’s make Anfield Rd a place for teams to be afraid to play again and most of all let’s see LIVERPOOL on Sunday,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Dear Santa

Dear Santa,

This year Santa we have both been good boys we bought a football club in England and we wanted to make it the best club in England for the fans mainly cause as everyone knows their the best fans and supporters in the world.

We gave the manager as much money as we could spare out of our piggy banks, and we even let him buy who he wanted, and Santa we didn’t even give out when he got us knocked out of the Carling Cup cause he said he was going win the Champions League and we would all be rich and able to put some penny’s back into the piggy bank.

We didn’t give out when we started to lose to beach balls, or lose every game one after the other, but now Santa he lost us or place in the Champions League, so Santa all Tom and me want for Xmas this year is a new manager one that won’t hurt the beloved club of millions of fans anymore.

OK laugh all you want and it’s good that fans can still laugh but Tuesdays match was a total mess all at the hands of one man, 20 minutes before kick off Rafa found out thatif Liverpool won by at least 4 goals it would rule out the goal difference between them and Fiorentina, ok so some of you might ask what difference would it make? Well put it this way Liverpool beach were keeping a close eye on the Fiorentina match as I’m sure that the Fiorentina bench were with the Liverpool match, if Liverpool were winning 4-0 what kind of pressure do you think it would put on them? When the pressure is on players make mistakes, but Rafa was playing nice so he didn’t change his squad to give his Club, his Players & the Fans every chance, so to me there’s only one question to be asked, who will Tom & George going to get to replace a so called Manager that doesn’t give a toss anymore?????

Ok so what can or do you say about the match Saturday at home to Man City?

I watched the match, and hands up the first half I loved it, forgotten were the injuries, forgotten were the bad results, but ok they didn’t get on the score sheet but to watch the football they were playing really made me smile, the passing the tackling it was Liverpool playing like I haven’t seem in a long time, I was just starting to think maybe, just maybe I was beginning to see the Liverpool of old when the second half started and the only way I can put it is the tea lady must have appeared because Liverpool just seemed to disappear off the pitch.

And as in previous games the last few minutes of the game was pure panic from Liverpool trying to rescue a win from the game they should have finished in the first half.

The papers today and plastered with headlines lines about Rafa and if he loses on Tuesday night how he will be replaced and even who will replace him, but I say what’s the point to be honest I can’t see a new boss making a whole lot of difference.

Will a new boss a few new players make the difference? God only knows but only thing I do know is Liverpool’s broken and needs to be fixed, what needs to be fixed and how nobody seems to know, but it needs to be done yesterday not tomorrow,,,,

Where’s the Passion gone?

I have been a life long fan of Liverpool but unlike most fans my age I have to admit I have only set foot in Anfield Rd two years ago, it was a present for my 40th birthday from my wife & kids, my 10 year old draughter came with me as she is also a fanatic Liverpool fan.

I came still remember everything about that day my draughter had me outside the gates of Anfield at 10am, the game wasn’t kicking off until 3pm, it didn’t matter that we had to wait around in the freezing cold for 5 hours, my young girl was in heaven and so was I, why may you ask did we spend 5 hours in the cold, because we wanted to saver every second of the grounds, the fans, the buzz, it was heaven.

OK now that I have you all totally bored lets get down to business, that day Liverpool won at home 3-2 against Wigam, ok not the biggest of matches but my god it was a hell of a match, Liverpool won that day because of two things, skill and PASSION.

Now Liverpool have the skill as far as I can see they never lost it and I don’t think they every will, but what I do thing they have lost is there passion.

In Istanbul in 05’ the reason that game will go down in history is because of the passion, the passion from each and every player on the pitch, the belief they had, the belief they not only had in themselves but in their team mates, belief that they could do it and one hell of a love and passion for the club.

Now we are down but as AC Milan know, never turn your back and count Liverpool out because they have a very nasty habit of biting you in the ass, they don’t do it out of spit they “USED” to do it out of passion for the club, the game, their team, now it’s lost, gone there’s no passion and from their previous matches no belief, needs to be fixed Rafa, and now.

Rafa has sent injured players off to Belgrade to a miracle doctor in order to have them ready in time for the Man City match and the Champions League coming up, fair play Rafa but what are you going to do about the passion? What are the players, the club and the fans going to do about it?

How is it fixed dammed if I know, but you watch Steven Gerrard’s face when he walks his team out onto any pitch the pride the passion on his face he wears his heart on his sleeve for his club and it’s about time his team mates followed his lead.

This season is not over and won’t be until Liverpool say it is, remember Liverpool are the come back kids, so come back the passion, come back pride and most of all come back the belief, and lets make this season the same as that night in Istanbul, lets terrify the whole of the premiership, fans get your voices back, players get your passion back, and most of all Rafa get your belief back and let us all see it,,,,,

Last night I watch which I feel has to be the worst Liverpool home game I have ever seen, yes I know some might say I’m always down on the team and the manager, but I have to admit last night I have to proclaim my disappointment with the fans.

Even the commentators commented on the fact that you could hear the players shouting at one another on the pitch, ok please somebody slap me I really do have to be dreaming, PEOPLE WTF? THIS IS ANFIELD? THE GROUND THAT CAN SMASH WINDOWS WHEN THE CHEER GOES UP FROM THE KOP END!

I could not believe the fact that it was the 65th minute before the kop fans found their voices, yes the team are not playing well, yes the manager needs to get a grip on what’s happening, but what I want to know is what’s happened to the fans?

As far as I was aware there’s an old saying around Anfield Rd that goes, if Liverpool and winning cheer loud, if their loseing Cheer even louder, when spirits within the team are low the fans need to find their voices and let the team, the manager & the club know that they still have their support.

“You’ll never walk alone” I think as fans we last night let the team walk alone, how can we expect 100% from the club when we don’t give it?

Now I’m on a roll so lets get move on to a little hot potato called “DIVING”, yes things are bad we’re not where we would like to be in the league or champions league, but do we have to cheat to win or draw? Please for the pride of the club don’t let us become another Chelsea, god knows one Drogba is more than enough.

Lose of FAITH

Lyon 1 – 1 Liverpool

I have just watched the Lyon – Liverpool match tonight, and for some reason I feel sad, as a life long Liverpool fan I normally get upset when Liverpool draw or loose, but tonight I just feel sad to see the team I have followed for so long be reduced to such a performance.

Ok ok I’m not going go into post match stats and all that, because I’m sure you already know them, but watching the match the main reason I feel so sad to see them reduce to this is because you could tell by looking at the faces of the players they unlike in the past when the likes of Jamie Carragher who plays with pride and passion for the team, tonight on Jamie’s face you could see that he has totally lost faith with the manager and maybe even the club, and the sad part of it all was he wasn’t the only one.

Right some fans will blame the owners of the club for the turmoil that the club is now in, some will blame the manager some will blame the players.

The owners, to be honest I don’t know enough about them to comment honestly, the manager, ok we’ll take a look at his past record, Istanbul, how could any Liverpool fan EVER forget it and what a job Rafa did for the club, just one point, the team that won that famous night in Istanbul were the team Rafa inherited from the previous manager all but two players that he brought in.

In the five years at the club Rafa has brought in a total of 76 YES you read it right 76 new players, that’s an average of just over 15 new players a season, so why can’t we field a first team for a major match such as a the champions league?

But does this matter? Maybe maybe not, at the moment what matters is that the Liverpool I know and grow up with seems to be falling apart, from the owners, to the bank balance, to the manager, but the biggest problem I can see and the worst of all as far as I am concerned is the players, yes there still doing there job, but you can tell there only going true the motions, seems to me they have lost all faith and respect for manager and maybe even the club, but when you see the likes of Andriy Voronin starting the match and lasting 65mins and then Ryan Babel coming on to replace him and asked to save the day with so little time left, and a true trooper that he is he does save the day to an extent, and just what is his reward? He gets to warm the bench again in the next match without even the glimmer of hope of starting unless Fernando Torres is injured (which he will be), so can you blame the players for loosing faith ? My answer NO!

So it needs to be fixed, and fixed NOW before our beloved club surfers any more embarrassment of losing to such lower level teams that used to be terrified to be draw against us, and now pray to be,,,,,,

Too early to panic? Or too late??

What a shambles
Just when Liverpool fans taught that maybe just maybe there was some light at the end of the tunnel after handing Man Utd a crushing 2-0 beating last Sunday, Rafa makes sure by his hand and his hand alone that it’s short lived by fielding a team at Fulham today that a school boy team could have brushed aside without breaking a sweat.

Fans are screaming for him to be sacked and to be honest I have to agree with them, the only good thing anyone can say about today’s match was that at least Liverpool got to the match on time, which it would have been better if they just didn’t show up.

OK some people may think I am maybe I’m a bit hard on Rafa, but look at it this way, if your getting a garage built and you hire a builder and 5 years later he is still not done the job, would you sack him and get in someone that would? Well as far as most fans are concerned Rafa was brought in to win the EPL, 5 years later he still hasn’t and after today’s embarrassment it looks like he wouldn’t win in if he was manager of the only team in it.

I cannot understand just what way this man thinks, I mean the whole of Europe knows that Liverpool have being waiting 19 years for the EPL trophy and he is only concerned with the CL? Which I might add he will be very lucky to get Liverpool to the next round of.

A few years ago Liverpool were seen as I of the best teams in the world, today there seen as a joke, there’s only one place that the blame lies for today massacre and that’s at the hands of the main man himself Rafa, but (and there’s always a but) as I have said before the blame for the sudden down fall of once such a mighty club cannot and never will be the blame of one man.

The owners (our Yankee friends) it’s widely known they don’t see eye and throw Rafa into the ring and there’s DEFO trouble, now there’s always going to be trouble in the boardroom, but at other clubs it doesn’t effect what happens on the field, so it needs to be fixed, and very quickly.

Some people say it’s because of the lack of a budget to buy new players is the main reason that Liverpool and in such bad shape, but Rafa has spent over £220M on players in the past two years, that’s a pretty sizeable amount to spend with little return, so has he spent foolish or wisely? Not for me to answer.

Most fans want a new manager and new owners for the club, they seem to think this will sort out the problems, I don’t know if it will or it won’t be I do know one thing, Liverpool needs to get back to it’s winning ways not soon, but NOW! Six loses out of Seven games is just not good enough, some fans are saying don’t panic it’s early days yet, I remember the Newcastle Chairman saying that in March of last season, so is it too early to panic? Or too late??
