We watched a movie called 'Flypaper' last night and it was very amusing. Bank alarm system goes down briefly for a scheduled reboot and 2 sets of bank robbers try to rob it at the same time. Plenty of twists and kept me guessing. Tim Blake Nelson is hilarious!

Watched Killer Elite with Jason Statham, Clive Owen, and Dinero. Really enjoyed it. Good action/assassin style reportedly based somewhat on true story. Statham's films are kinda hit-or-miss but this is probably one of his best.
Fuck-it list: Owls, Ohio, Facebook, Red Wings.

Wife and I watched Hugo last night. I knew it was going to go downhill when the movie rating of PG appeared on the screen for random acts of smoking. Seriously? A movie is PG due at least in part due to scenes of smoking. Oh and I also got a kick out of the story taking place in Paris however everyone speaks king's english...yet all of the store fronts and newspapers are in french.

Apart from that, the wife enjoyed it and I still somehow managed a WTF at the the end of it just like every other Scorsese film, yes I'm looking at you The Departed.

It wasn't a good WTF. The entire movie was based on such a thin thread premise and you were expecting some bow and ribbon to tie it all together at the end that just wasn't there.

I liked Hugo. I thought it a fun little film as did my wife and 21 y/o son. That type of movie doesn't get made enough these days. A simple but fun story that plays with your imagination. Also, Sasha Cohen was a fun surprise.

I also rented Dream House and The Thing. Dream House is a very good movie. Very suspenseful without the gore.
The Thing sucked arm pits.

Books were really good. A bit much at times on the "we want to be Twilight-love triangle" but all in all I really enjoyed the series.

Gonna try to get to the theater next weekend. Sad that is a goal hehe.

I read the first two. Liked them quite a bit. Started the third one, but wanted to read Girl with the Dragon Tattoo before the movie came out and have yet to go back to the Mockingjay one or whatever the third one was called... decent books though... good teenage type books.

We watched Footloose last night and that female lead character was one of the least likeable hot chicks I've seen in recent memory.

Watched The Sitter with Jonah Hill. Funny movie. Sam Rockwell, and especially his sidekick played by J.B. Smoove were funny as fuck.
