So I guess beer doesn't count as juice huh? Damn that can't be easy-good luck.

If cheeseburgers counted as vegetables and beer counted as juice, this would be a breeze.

That's why you soak and/or boil them in beer. It turns them into health food.

After a couple of weeks of no progress due to too much eating and not enough working out, I'm back in the right direction again today. I'm down to 192 (from 220 the second week of December). Now that I'm so close to getting back into the 180s for the first time in 5+ years, that should motivate me to behave myself this weekend.

She keeps hinting that it could happen at some point in the future, but she's all talk and no action.

I've been back up over 200 (just barely) for the past month or so. I've been doing cardio for 40-45 minutes 2-4 times per week pretty consistently since the beginning of the year and it's just not driving a drop in weight. On the plus side, my blood pressue is the best it's ever been and I'm off of BP meds for the first time in over 5 years.

When I think back to when I was my lowest body fat (around 7 years ago), it was when I was lifting weights to failure in the 8-12 rep range. I was only lifting 2-3 times per week and generally for 30 minutes or less. The only thing I concerned myself diet-wise was eating lots of protein and steering clear of sugar and white carbs.

My plan is to go back to that strategy and see how it works. I'll still do cardio a couple of times a week, because I like being off the BP meds.

I lifted on Tuesday (not particularly hardcore) and I'm pretty tender today...

Today, I began the HCG diet. I'm going to run a 30 day cycle, which will take me up to just before Thanksgiving. This is a hardcore, very calorie restrictive diet. From everything I've read, people tend to lose about a pound a day on it. Likely, I will need to dial back the intensity of my cardio.

My starting measurements:
- Weight 209 lbs
- Chest 47"
- Belly 43"
- Hips 41"
- Thighs 23"
