You go into the student area and put in your school and school ID. You get limited prime access for free (basically the two day shipping) and you can get full prime membership for half price (the videos, book lending, etc.)

You bet. Sorry I forgot to mention it earlier, I just paid for it myself now that I have a Kindle (that was "officially" opened on Xmas). The gf got one as well for her bday. Can't pass it up for 40 bucks. I mean, 80 is a pretty sweet deal with the shipping and lending capability... at least if the streaming is good.

Speaking of that, has anyone compared the streaming titles to Netflix? I haven't really checked it out yet. Just wondering.

I just signed up for Prime over the holidays as well. I don't have Netflix to compare but there are quite a few good movies, standup comedian specials and tv shows (first two seasons of Sons Of Anarchy for example) I'm looking forward to.

I am not helpful with details but my family has a Prime account and it is shared between me, my brother, and my parents. Only the main account holder however has access to the lending book program and the streaming services.

I think it's in your account area, then there is a link to manage your prime membership...that is where you share it
