I was doing the network test a couple weeks ago but couldn't see where it told me if the settings were open or not. I thought it used to have it bold and bright right on the page, but if it's there now it must be hidden away.

I learned long ago - put the Xbox in the DMZ and you will have no problems. I do not know what a DMZ is, nor port 88, but the DMZ is my Xbox happy place.

Okay, router experts -- I have a question.

I read an article on Joystiq about how port forwarding can improve the performance in BF3 MP. I forwarded all of the recommended ports for my 360, however it appears I cannot forward Domo's 360 because those ports are already in use. Is it possible to port foward multiple devices on the same port? Do I just need to move one or more of the 360s out into the DMZ? Is that safe? For what it's worth, I'm using a Netgear N600 router.

Unfortunately, you can only forward ports to one device, so the first console you set them to forward to wins, unless you manually change it. I've just had my router set to have UPnP on (I have a netgear as well), and it seems to open the NAT up enough to work for me.

OK wait. So you can only have one xbox per router with an open NAT setting, is that what you are telling me? For some reason now my xbox in the living room has switched to strict and it takes forever and a mother fucking day to get into a match. What can I do?
