I am reading that the DLC has been released as planned?? I did not try and download yesterday but I am reading it is in fact out.



New Gears of War 3 DLC:
“The Horde Command Pack” comes out today for 800 MSP or “free” if you bought the Season Pass before. This new DLC gives players access to:
-three new chartacter skins, Bernie, Onyx Guard, and Big Rig Dizzy (pictured above)
-two new weapon skins, Plasma and Cameo (The lighting -looking one, and green camo above)
-three new maps, 2 new Horde maps, Azura and Rustlung, and the revival of Blood Drive from Gears 2.
-New 250 GP Horde related achievements
-Unblockable upgrades to Horde Mode
*Rockets for the silverback
*Last level of decoy is a bot Onyx Guard that fight with you
*Fire Sentry, a Sentry that both stuns and deals fire damage to enemies
*Command Centers, kind of like a panic button that allows the player to call in for reinforcements, Sniper teams is the first level followed by mortar teams and finally a hammer of dawn strike.

Yep, it's out. We played it last night. The azura map is great. rustlung is OK and blood drive is, well i didn't like it so much. i haven't tried the new defenses because they have to all be unlocked first.

So if I buy the season pass, all the dl will just show up and can be dl'ed with no further issues like a code or anything stupid like that?

Yep yesterday when I started the game it popped up right on the screen 'there is new DLC available for the season pass, do you want to download it now?'

Then it popped up that marketplace purchase window and said the download was free. It was very easy.

Does anyone have multiple accounts on the same console that can say if the pass worked for all of them?

I am starting to think it might but I am not home to test. And I am bored in this training class.

Did they link your new account to your old one or something? Because I would think you'd have to be logged in with the account you purchased the DLC on in order to download it, since the game found it automatically. Your new account is gold right? I have no idea how that works.

Yeah I have a gold account, but I won't let it go past the trial as long as my other one is unlocked by then.

My thought is it will be like arcade games, you can use those for any account on your Xbox I think because they are DRM'd to the machine, not the gamertag necessarily.

Did you already purchase the DLC on your other account or are you thinking of purchasing it on this account and hoping it transfers? I would counsel against trying the second.

I already bought the season pass on my main account, I won't buy shit on this one...I am not THAT impatient

I like what they've done to Blooddrive. Looks alot better!
Azura is really a very cool map. Rustlung is kinda small and boxed in. I have not unlocked (how?) the new defenses either.

They're all high-level. You need to get your decoy, sentry and turret levels way up there. Sandra had them maxed out before and after the update, they added a level to each one. The command center is actually it's own category, you unlock it by spending like 350K on turrets or some ridiculous number like that but it is freaking worth it. Sandra has the first level, and when you use it snipers immediately take out 3-4 bad guys in one fell swoop.

I have not taken GoW3 out of the wrapper. Maybe I will get some time this weekend.
