Mike, thanks for posting these links. I'll have to check them out.

Rabb, one of the things I do when I'm sitting on the couch is hold my guitar and just practice moving my fingers from chord to chord or up and down scales (without actully strumming or picking notes). I think I have more callous on my fingertips than I do on my heels.

You'll love it. It's pretty easy to play but sounds enough like the real songs that it's tons o fun.

Yesterday the baby was looking at my guitar so I picked it up and played a few chords. I got some interest--which at this phase means something made noise, or moved--so I figure hopefully I can start playing again for the kid. Hey anything that can draw her attention for a few seconds has got to come in handy right? She's got to be getting tired of my acapella versions of 'More than a Feeling' and 'Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow'

Which would make for great TG365 videos by the way.

We should all record us singing one line from 'Bohemian Rhapsody' or something and piece it all together. OMG YES!

I just bought a Martin Dreadnaught this weekend. Holy fuck, it is so much better than the Sigma DM-2 I had been playing. The guitar has such a rich, clean sound -- it's awesome. Plus, it plays much better. I can play an A chord that doesn't sound like shit and I can barre chords and get every note to ring.

And say what you will about "new car smell", the smell of a new guitar is better.

It is the closest description I've ever heard for comparison....but even that still wouldn't equal the satisfaction derived from the smell of a freshly opened CD
