I just googled shelfari. Great idea for a site! I have an app like that on my phone but it seems more interesting to see what others are reading too. Is it worth signing up and starting my list of books that have been read?

Yep look down about 12 threads or so in the book forum and take a look at SixGun's 'Shelfari' thread

I started today.

On a thread derailing note I finished up Thunder and Ashes, the second book in the Morningstar series and the ending was great so I googled the author in anticipation of finding out when the next book will be released only to find out that he suddenly died while writing the book (at age 26) so the series is basically dead. Maybe they'll let someone else take up his legacy and shit all over it like that horrible post-Asimov Foundation trilogy.

I am logged in now as Phog. Will probably take awhile to put together my vast library of books I have read since I am such an educated man.

no, actually it isn't

they are all 700+ pages, I am almost done with the first which is season 1 of Game of Thrones...it may have seemed easier for me because I knew what was generally going to happen but it's a grind of a read

I love the story, don't get me wrong but it's not DBD easy

Yeah I want to check out the new one and read it, but my memory is a bit hazy after six years. I feel like i'd need to re-read the whole damn series to get caught up again. Especially since the fourth book was....oh wait I can't spoil THAT exciting tidbit of information for you guys! Much better for you to find out for yourselves.

Amazon had the kindle version of Game of Thrones for $2.99. A lot of the first books of a series look to have been set at that price.

I am about 1/3rd the way through Dance of Dragons and that seems to be a nice rebound from A Feast for Crows so far.
