Do you mean in addition to the little pre-show clip he did a few episoded back? Having him long-term would be awesome, but I bet he was referring to that cameo

Missed the episode this week but after watching the Michael leaving episodes recently I've had enough of Farrel and am ready for him to go back to doing bad movies.

So for anybody out there that watched the finale who do you think is the best person to take on the job if they hire from outside?

While I would love to see Ricky Gervais do that character again, I would have to say James Spader had the oddest character that would fit.

Once they went away from making it a pure remake of the British version, it became really damn good. I like both versions, but I think there are too many characters in the British version that make one uncomfortable. I think the US version did well in only having Dwight be the one you really can't get behind at all.

Not sure if it's a hint or anything but Spader seemed to be the one they spent the most time on although Arnett's character seemed to be the most Michael Scott-ish.

I think Arnett would be great but I think he is in a new NBC show next fall.

I like the fact that Gervais literally phoned in his performance. He did say he was too lazy to commit to the show after all.

Reports are coming out that James Spader will be the new boss next season.

I love it. He was funny and creepy and he's already got Dwight figured out.

I did read one report where will be the new CEO replacing Kathy Bates so not sure if he is in the office with them.
