They gave up 19 players to get him, should be interesting. I hope he goes down in a blaze of fail but that's just me.

I am just glad he didn't get moved to one of the Eastern teams. Since the kid has had anxiety issues in the past, I don't think Philly, New York, or Boston would have been good for him.

Suck it. They gave up some decent talent, so I hope they can sign the kid. I just hope the whole anxiety thing doesn't turn out to be like Ben Sheets and his inner ear issues. I actually got a text from a friend at 9:30 yesterday. Pretty stoked, but its not worth it if they can't resign him though.

I just found out its 2 years for both Greinke and Marcum... so that's better than I thought. Twice as good as one year!

Also forgot to add Mr. Saito! Bullpen might actually hold a few runs.

They got him fairly cheap so if his 40yr old arm doesn't fall off it could be a good pickup.

Locked up Rickie Weeks for a few years at around 10 mil per. I just hope he can stay healthy and not have wrist issues anymore... I know his pain. He could be a stud.

There's half of your right side, now just keep fat ass and it's all good.

They'll try. I don't think he'll want to stay, but who knows. Maybe if they make another playoff run he will. I doubt it though, he doesn't seem like the type to play for less. The only other thing going is that a lot of those guys came up together and played in the minors quite a bit. Who knows. I just have a feeling they'll try and put that money into the pitching and throw Mat Gamel over there.

The good thing is it's early. With all the off days in April they will be able to get by a little easier with him out.
