I don't follow it to the letter, I just cannot eat as many calories as they suggest I eat. I do eat following the basic rules though, I actually pretty much stick to the diet plan from Power 90 but I add a few more calories.

ah, OK....I have never really done anything like power 90 or p90x, so I was just wondering how the nutrition thing worked out. I have always live on the See-food diet; I see food and I eat it, never any dietary constraints.

now not only am I sore as shit upper body from Monday, but I cannot walk from yesterday

I took about a 2 month break from P90x and just started back after New Years...I'm with you on the not walking. After I did Plyo the first time back I couldn't get in my damn car the next day...I literally had to just fall and let gravity drag me into the seat. After a couple of weeks I'm back in the game, but man the Kenpo kicked my ass the first time back, and I'm not that far removed from taking martial arts either. I'm hoping to stick to it Rabb...

See... I wouldn't even jump right in like that. I'd at least do a week of the 2nd half of p90 to start to lesson that initial pounding.

Same here, I absolutely cannot get that many calories from "good" food. I stick to the p90x phase 1 level 2 diet minus a couple hundred calories and plus a few extra carbs.

After doing power 90 without any recovery drink or protien bars and now doing X with them, I can tell you that IMO they are a big help for muscle soreness and energy recovery.

Speaking of recovery drink, has anyone tried the stage 3 Gatorade? I hope it works because it tastes horrible.

Played basketball last night against my better judgment. Started off with 3 on 3 half court and honestly that tired me out more than full covering that much more space. Once we ran full it was better because I could sluff it a little on defense. I got stuck on a high school kid which royally sucked, little f'ers don't tire out. had a few nice moves on him but my handle and endurance need woooork. Got that nice middle of the back cramp. We won and I had to quit, I couldn't go anymore. Last night was that perfect good hurt when I got in bed.

Did 2nd day. Not too bad considering how fat I feel. It seems easier this time around than last, but I haven't hit the 3rd/4th day yet. However, I was able to do more of each exercise without sluffing as much. The running in bball helped a ton... and I'm actually one of the ones in better shape since most of the kids smoke and have no skills. I'm like Oliver Miller out there.

The Big O!!! Man I wish I played with a bunch of smokers. I get all the local high school kids who have Energizer bunny energy. I guess that will be good for me in the long term but it really kinda sucks right now.

Yeah, I'm the fat guy that finds a way to block the ball softly and keep it in bounds and time my jump by tapping the ball to myself instead of aggressively grabbing it with two hands.

Went to the gym Sunday before the games and got into a 3 set racquetball match...wow. I ended up losing two sets to one but each game was within a point or two so we went the distance which is what we wanted for exercise. That is one hell of a workout between the nonstop changes in direction and diving all over the place. There isn't a muscle that still doesn't hurt a few days later.

I have a friend / co-worker who is trying to convince me to train for a half marathon with him. That holds no appeal to me. Though I am knocking around the idea of fighting in the Milwaukee Rumble again next year.

If you get into a fight dealie, I'd be willing to show up and throw stuff at you. I did day 5 with 2 days off. Lost 2lbs. Weekends will be my downfall, but if I can at least rock the 5 days during the week, I'll be happy. Still playing basketball a few times a week. Mostly concerned about losing inches off the waistline. Would like to shoot for 36 inch... at 40 now, by far the largest I have been.
