The Godfather Series

The place to talk about books, duh

The Godfather Series

Postby Jammer » May 3rd, 2012, 10:32 am

Hopefully our resident book expert MTK can chime in here. I see there is a new Godfather book coming out titled "The Family Corleone". It is based off an unpublished screen play by Mario Puzo.

It got me to thinking that I have never read any of the series (including the new one there are 5) and wondering if they are a good read. The first two movies are without a doubt in my top 5 favorite movies of all time.

I've actually never read them either but now I am leaning that direction. I can't believe it never occurred to me before.

Looking at Amazon reviews the third book "The Godfather Returns" by Mark Winegardner seems to be the weakest (not including the one not yet released).

Here is the Wiki of the book in the series.
