Zombie Fallout series by Mark Tufo

Zombie Fallout... It was a flu season like no other. With fears of contracting the H1N1 virus running rampant throughout the country, people lined up in droves to try an attain one of the coveted vaccines. What was not known, was the effect this largely untested, rushed to market, inoculation was to have on the unsuspecting throngs. Within days, feverish folk throughout the country, convulsed, collapsed and died, only to be re-born. With a taste for brains, blood and bodies, these modern day zombies scoured the lands for their next meal. Overnight the country became a killing ground for the hordes of zombies that ravaged the land.

Read the first book (e-book) in the series and am really digging it. It's hard to put down. It's kind of like Day By Day in that it's told in journal form, however this story has a different twist on the genre. It's serious and in some parts disturbing, but also has humor mixed in. And these zombies aren't the normal zombies we are use to seeing/reading about. The still have some brain function and can think and plan to some degree. And to top it all off, it's possibly about rabb! The guy's name is Mike and he is in Colorado :)

The books in the series in order are...
Zombie Fallout
A Plague Upon Your Family - Zombie Fallout 2
Zombie Fallout 3 - The End
Dr. Hugh Mann (prequel that explains how the virus came to be)
Zombie Fallout 4: The End Has Come and Gone

And there is a 5th book in the works

I just bought it. While over at barnes & noble.com I noticed Fahrenheit 451 on the front page, so I wanted to see how much it was.

Paperback: 6.99
E-book: 9.99

BLASPHEMY! No wonder people wanted to burn that shit.

I finished up the first book on the plane this morning, really enjoyed it. That chapter with the zombie chick chained up in the basement was one fucked up visual.

I finished all the books out so far. While I enjoyed them and can't wait to see how it ends, the books definitely veer away from the zombie sci-fi we are use to. Day by Day is like The Walking Dead, where it's more "normal world" with zombies.

Zombie Fallout is more in the Resident Evil realm.... there is some supernatural shit going on.

And yeah lamby, that shit was fucked up
