I like the Ultimate Guitar site alot and will use it if I get stuck trying to pick something out but be warned because there are quite a few wrong tabs posted in there.

E, A, D? "Folsom Prison Blues" beeyatch!

My bad, they use E, A, B

Anyway MTK is right--there are tons of 3 chord songs.

I expect that kind of hostility out of a shaven MTK, not you!

You can play it with G, C, D also. It's the same progression just tuned at a higher pitch.

If not you'll just have to learn B.

I am sure I will be learning B soon....he seems to be teaching chords that easily transition from one to the other, A then E and recently D since the first finger doesn't move much

I am guessing that's the reason at least

My parks & rec guitar class, the very first night taught us G, D and I think, C chords and had us playing Proud Mary by the time I walked out of that 2 hour class. It didn't sound perfect but I thought it was pretty damn cool.

well fuck you and your super class

truth be told, I would probably be further but I had to skip a day or two learning a new thing (kid time) so I just practiced the chords I already knew

but thanks for making me feel like shit with my online teacher Ravi

Hah I was actually trying to make a point that you know enough right this minute to play songs. You just have to find a song that uses the chords you know, or else just learn the god damn G and C chords already! With G C and D you can play literally hundreds of rock songs, including just about Elvis's entire damn catalog.

Since I am always down to help you, you said you know E A D right?

There's three right there, I am looking for more. I think the Kinks had a lot of songs with those chords too
