I'm really digging it, the tone he gets out of that telecaster on this album is unreal, just awesome with the overdrive he's getting out of the tubes in his amp. I like that he's got the acoustic number with the fiddle thrown in to kinda give a different vibe in the middle of the album and keep it fresh.

From the selections of his catalog I have picked up I usually find I love atleast half of the songs immediately and the rest usually grows on me. The new one is no exception.

I'll admit, I don't know the first thing about blues music... It's not that I don't like it...it's more that I've never really been exposed to much of it. We listen to Pandora at work and it's a great service, in that it offers the opportunity to hear bands or musicians you otherwise may not normally come across.
This song came on and I was immediately hooked...I mean, within a few moments, I jumped up to see who was playing this awesome guitar riff...just jamming away, like nothing I'd ever heard before...R.L. Burnside...Delta Blues artist...unfortunately passed away...and my next Amazon order.

P.S. Thanks Lotus! :)

That is some good stuff. Need to dig out my "Compete Recordings of Robert Johnson" and see if I can transfer them to something digital.

I think R.L. Burnside must have popped up on Pandora because I have the Black Keys and Jack White (*swoon*) plugged in there...I recently started listening to the Black Keys and purchased the Brothers CD...but I do not really think "blues" when I listen to them so much...Music is vast and open; I hate to put a label on everything, but I really enjoy the Delta Blues grittiness of R.L. Burnside...that guitar just MOVES me :!:

LOL...I am painfully white, apparently...

I keep blaming my Kinect location and lack of space for my inability to master even the BASIC moves for Dance Central...but I'm thinking it actually may be user error at this point...I don't know what happened! My mom raised me with Soul Train, and then I was a "club kid" back in the 80s...How did I lose it??? More importantly, how do I get "it" back? :?

I am really digging this album. The first song sounds very Soundgarden-ish.

You couldn't identify Jack White or The White Stripes. May have to place you on probation.

I'm liking it. It's heavier than the first one in a very Zeppelin-esque way. Bonamassa's rock side is certainly Jimmy Page influenced.
