One of his recent concert videos was on PBS a little while back I think recorded in London. If I remember right Clapton joined in on a song. Great sound on the recording, but it didn't focus in on his playing all that much, just his stage presence.

Also, he has a new disc called 'Dust Bowl' set for release on March 22. Looking forward to it.

I got to see this over the weekend-soooo good. My oldest stopped playing and was dancing around the room. He would be a must see if he toured around here.

RayRay since you brought him up before I just got Tab Benoit's 'Fever For The Bayou' and it is really good.

No bullshit, not over-produced (mostly just bass/1 guitar/drums/vocals only), straight up mix of uptempo and slow screw blues. I have a friend who is hooking me up with a few other of his releases and I'll try to let you know if one is better than the other.

I was just listening to his album Best of the Bayou Blues on Rhapsody and it too is recorded just straight up, nothing fancy. Its amazing with all of the bells, whistles and tricks there are in the recording/producing world now how good it is to hear something done so well with some good reverb and a few well placed room mics.

The song Rainy Day Blues has a cameo by Willie Nelson, needless to say I couldn't really not like this guy after that. Willie's mellow nylon string guitar is a perfect fit for that song.

I just literally downloaded Dust Bowl and haven't stopped bobbing my head yet. His tix went on sale today so need to make sure wifey is on board and if not she will be anyway.

It's a weird mix that makes it so perfect. The same song that I could see jamming with the windows down on the highway also works as a chill out song.

Been listening to this one on Rhapsody the last couple of days(been spending a lot of time driving and jamming in my work van). I'm really digging it, the tone he gets out of that telecaster on this album is unreal, just awesome with the overdrive he's getting out of the tubes in his amp. I like that he's got the acoustic number with the fiddle thrown in to kinda give a different vibe in the middle of the album and keep it fresh.
