The Walking Dead (season 2) *SPOILERS*

I figured we'd make a second season thread with everyone being warned of spoilers.


So what did everyone think of the new episode?
It did not disappoint! I liked it but they really teased us at the beginning when Rick says something on the radio along the lines of "the guy at the CDC told me...." and then trails off.
The groups split was inevitable. Lots of high tension in an already stressful situation. I think Shane's gonna bang Andrea.

Was it just me or did AMC give us a good 30-40 of non-commercial interuption and then it seemed like a commercial every freakin 5 minutes!?!

I definitely enjoyed the episode, was glad they had limited commercials and the ending was great. I thought for sure the guy that cut is arm open was done until Darrell saved him. It seemed like Darrell is taking more of a leadership role this episode as compared to last season as the disgruntled redneck.


Overall very happy with it and I can’t wait until next week.

Yeah I get the iTunes season pass with this and for 1 hour and 30 minutes on AMC the actual episode was 1 hour and 2 minutes so the commercials had to be flying at some point.

Some great edge of your seat moments such as Cole getting that arsenal off the guy or at the tent not knowing what was inside. I was figuring a zombie was going to pop out at Cole at the end rather than what happened. I just had a feeling that with the wife defending Rick that something was bound to happen to the boy.

With the iTunes pass I also get a 5 minute behind the scenes with each episode and it throws me off every time with Andrew Lincoln who plays Rick talking in his normal voice. Also the guy that plays Shane thinks all he wanted Rick's wife to say was not to leave and she didn't say that. He does think his character's heart has come back a bit at the end of the episode with the kid getting shot.

Killed a couple zombies inside, shut the bell off. Rest of the group heads back while Rick, Shane, and Rick's kid Carl stay to look around for the girl a bit longer. While looking around they hear something. It turns out to be a deer. Shane is about to shoot it when Rick stops him so Carl can get closer to get a look at it. As he's standing there looking at it, someone shoots the deer, which also hits Carl. The end

I sat down to watch this last night after getting the kid asleep. Wife says she's not interested in the show...however she doesn't leave the couch once I start the DVR. Once Carl gets shot at the end of the episode I looked over and said, "Well, I guess I know what you'll be watching next Sunday."

We discussed that before and I think if that were the case then Rick would have called him out on it already. But who knows?

Houdini maybe the Mrs will start watching. Sounds like everyone I've tried to recommend the show to; "You mean the zombie show?" Once they watch it once they're hooked.

I still think, like we discussed in the other thread that Lori is knocked up and it showed up in her blood sample.


I am trying to get my wife to watch it but she is so anti-zombie everything it is hard. Now if it was a teenage vampire story ...then she would be all over it.

Yeah every time I try to explain to my wife that it is more of a show about survival over zombies, she only hears the zombies part of it and is not interested.

It's only been 2 days and they are fleeing for their lives, so it could have been put on the back burner. Plus, he knows they need to work together to survive. Bringing that up now and having the group at odds with each other could prove even more deadly


Hopefully we find out soon. Starting out with that and Rick stopping just before revealing what he said is killing me lol

The whole CDC thing does not happen in the comics and also I believe Shane would have died a while ago.

Shane isn't dead in the comics yet up through issue 30 or so, after they move into the prison and later get kidnapped by the other survivors.
