Sons of Guns

Postby Lambshot23 » February 22nd, 2011, 7:18 am

Anyone catch this on Discovery? I watched the first few episodes this past weekend(fastpasstv.com). The show is based around a custom gun shop in Louisiana that specializes in Silencers but they can build anything. Just from the episodes I have watched so far they have built the first ever truly silenced shotgun, a wwII flamethrower and fire a civil war cannon and a grenade launcher w/ flare.

I believe the show airs tonight at 9 and 9:30.

Love this show! These guys are amazing. A SWAT unit wanted an assault rifle with a breaching round attached so they didn't have to switch weapons once the door opened.

I've only seen the one. Are they filing for patents on these new weapons? I would imagine with one or two hits they would be sitting pretty but it seems they are fairly cash light.

I believe so because many of the weapons they are building on the show are now for sale on their site. Their specialty is the AK47 platform but they have everything from silencers for AR15 to .22 pistols. They are getting $2500 for a basic silenced saiga 12 shotgun so I am not sure how strapped for cash they are.

It's probably just how they portray them. When their bore stopped working it just seemed to bring everything to a halt where you think they'd have more equipment.

I don't think they are strapped for cash. It just makes "better" tv. They always have to add some sort of drama in these shows, even when they don't need any.
