Get used to disappointment. I don't pan fish too much, except with the kids and this may be the largest blue gill I ever caught... but I don't do it much. Considering most of the ones I catch are around 5-6, this was like catching the queen. Its crazy how warms its been and I can actually get out and fish so early in the year.
