So, you take the best analyst you have (and possibly the best analyst today), and put him in the studio - leaving the door open to nothing but PBP and hyperbole for the entire telecast?

Sure, that makes sense.

Glad that I'm bowling on Mondays through the season, and I can't hear the broadcast over the racket in the bowling alley.

Im curious to see how Gruden does having to carry the load there. I'd have kept Jaws up there but that's just me.

Ummmm....no.

I went and read the article, that's not really what he said at all.

“If the game is about wins and losses, he has to be in the top five [quarterbacks],” Linta told Matt Vensel of the Baltimore Sun. “He is a player who has been extremely durable, never missed a game. And he’s done something that no one has ever done. In his four years in the league, he has never missed a game and has more wins than any other quarterback.”

I can't blame an agent for pumping up his clients worth but he has to know where he sits in the hierarchy.

I don't know...that doesn't sound like much more than a passive aggressive way of saying he wants his client to get top 5 money. Notice the agent doesn't tell the whole story about how a lot of those wins are because he has a top 3 defense (and the gap between a top 3 defense and the rest of the defenses in the league, especially this year).

I'm certain that Ravens front office will make him well aware of those facts. It really is a tough situation because it's so hard to define him at this point.

I hope Reggie Mac can hit big in the FA market. At least get Finnegan from the Titans, dude has a 70's Raider attitude written all over him.

Also Johhny or anybody else that gives a crap,
Who would you rather they sign if they can only afford 1, Bush or Branch?

I know there are problems in the secondary, but I still have to go with Bush. With McFadden's tendency towards injury, having a #2 back who could be a #1 on most teams is huge in today's NFL. Also, even when McFadden is healthy, Bush is a good between the tackles back - something McFadden isn't durable enough to be. Branch is a pretty good Safety, but he's not irreplaceable.

Initial reports are saying that they're cutting him b/c he's a health risk. The Colts will blow chunks the next few years without #18.

They're drafting Luck right? So they think he'll be able to just jump right in and start? Or will they hire some old timer to keep him under their wing for a while?
