Three Point Line

Whats you guys opinion of it? I think it ruins the game and effectively killed the midrange jumper and is the reason a lot of players settle for knowing that extra point is there. I know its a necessary evil and is a thing of beauty if a player is hot with a hand in their face, and plus it gives white folks and Euro players a fair chance for a roster spot, lol. WHat would the game look like if they went 1950's for a week or too and took it out?

I don't necessarily mind the line but do mind it a bit in college. Though they moved it back a little in NCAA that is a pretty make able shot from that distance.

Aside from the "do I like it" question, I just hate the way the floor looks without it. Watching old games is really weird. I like it but you're right that it killed the mid range jumper. Guys that have that in their repertoire are at a huge advantage.

If they take out the 3 point line, how will most of the scorers in the NBA know when to quit dribbling?

They should add a 4 pointer from about 4 ft further back, and maybe a 5 pter from over half court.

I think they should make free throws worth 80 points, but only for Centers and only on legit calls

Its still too close in the NCAA, make it the same for NCAA & NBA.
Love the Rock-N-Jock reference. I loved those games back in the day.
I'd be fine w/ a 4 pt shot halfway between the 3pt line & half-court.
And I'd be fine w/ anything beyond half-court being worth 5 pts. Its a more difficult shot, reward it.

But I do love a player with a solid mid-range J.
