I have a bigger problem I've been fighting since the playoffs began. I just don't give a damn about the NBA anymore.
I feel like I'm watching out of obligation, rather than because I want to see the Bulls win it all. I don't know if it's because I've always followed the Bulls, or what, but I can pinpoint exactly why I'm sick to death of the NBA's brand of "sport". I'm sick of the quality of play being the same as the AND1 trash that used to be relegated to ESPN2 at 3 am. Remember Traveling? Well, it's now perfectly legal. And even when Rose does it, it makes me cringe. Hell, I could have made my high school basketball team if this trash was accepted 20 years ago.
Not to mention, the level of arrogance from the players right up to Stern is sickening. Listen to Stern respond to criticism from sports radio hosts. He sounds like a condescending prick when someone dares question the product that is clearly subpar to the days of Magic, Bird, and Worthy and later Jordan, Ewing, Hakeem, and Miller. And that doesn't even bring to play the shady shit that Stern doesn't even bother to downplay anymore. What a great moment when Dan Gilbert's afflicted son happened to pick out the #1 pick. What a healing moment for a team that was stabbed in the back by LeBron.
What a bunch of bullshit.
Between crap like this, and refs that would even embarrass Vince McMahon (Joey Crawford, Bennett Salvatore, Dick Bavetta) that are still employed by the NBA, I'm just done. I can't get excited by a Bulls win, and I can't get angry by a Bulls loss anymore.
I just can't care.
