Picked up a copy via Walmart last night. A guy at work turned me on to this instead of Gamestop, ten minute wait total.
Some random gibberish as I am under about three hours of sleep here:
Right off the bat the mp felt clunky and unrefined. I turned the sensitivity up and it helped but the game is still lacking "something" from past COD titles.
Three bullets and you are dead similar to past COD games; I was shot in the leg with a sniper rifle up close and was killed.
Speaking of sniper rifles, just about every map I played on is small or confined. I do not see how people are going to snipe on the maps that I played on.
In past games the classes you start out with are shit, and it takes ranking up multiple times to get "good" weapons. Not the case here, they have very good choices right off the bat and early on I am enjoying the weapon selection.
Probably the best/worst change I have noticed so far is when playing objective based games capturing a "point", say A in domination, it will count towards your kill streak. Good = promotes team work, Bad = I know some little fuckers are going to find away to exploit this.
The assault vs. support kill streaks is a very cool feature. When you set up your classes you can choose one or the other. Assault is your typical kill streaks of the past. Support has more team based kill streaks and they do not reset until you reach your top kill streak.
Weapon attachments are tied to the specific weapon like BF3. You even rank up the attachments on the weapon.
Jury is still out on this title for me, I really do not see major enhancements from the last Modern Warfare. I don't think I have played enough to say thumbs up or down. I just do not see this overtaking BF3 play time like COD titles have in my past.
