Team Fortress is free to play. I downloaded it but haven't played it. Lotus, how was it?

It's actually been free to play forever, but they just added the co-op mode, Mann vs Machine.

It's fun, sort of a horde mode but you absolutely have to have a balanced party and coordinate what you're doing. Took us a while to get into a party with only two people and then we got pwned in round 5 of 7 because we had too many Rambos on the team.

I would love to get a game going with a bunch of TG people, I think then it would be a ton of fun.

The regular TF2 is pretty straight deathmatch, king of the hill, a handful of other modes, but it's very team-oriented and most of the neckbeards playing it have been playing a long time, so it's not always the most welcoming environment for noobs. Again, would love to get something going with friends but if you can imagine the attitudes of most CoD punk-asses combined with the already inflated sense of superiority that PC gamers have, well, that's TF2 if you just jump in solo.

You might be able to use the Xbox controller for it, but I just do mouse and keyboard.

Plus, the Orange Box version and PC version are basically two different games at this point since Orange Box has never been updated and PC is constantly updated with more classes, more maps, more game types, etc.
