Does anyone use groupon? I guess I"m behind the times, I thought it was a fad or a scam but lots of peeps are into it. There's another one called livingsocial that I see all the time. Any comments on this stuff?

I have it on my iPhone. The pop-up notification was for 56% off a Brazilian waxing. I shit you not.

If you are into food deals, another great site is restaurant.com. You get half off credits like you mentioned but a quick google search for "restaurant.com codes" generally gets you 70-80% off on top of that. I regularly get $20 in take out for $5-7. Its a great way to try new places.

How often do they email you and such on Groupon? I wouldn't mind catching some deals, but I don't want my email spamming up every day.

Maybe once every two weeks or so. Sometimes one a week.
