Today, a day after passing camps completed, the Denver Broncos waived 3 players. Tackle Marcus Gordon, wide receiver Travis Shelton and linebacker Braxton Kelley were all brought in as undrafted college free agents in late April. There will be many, many more cuts to come as the staff figures out the talent they have and as camps progress.

I am not really shocked about any of these moves. I figured Shelton would become lost in the shuffle as he is primarily a slot receiver and Denver is deep in that area. Special teams was his shot to stand out I thought going in, apparently that didn’t work out. I did however think Kelley would have a shot at the team in some way, likely special teams. He reminds me so much of current Broncos linebacker Wesley Woodyard who he also played high school and college football with.
