I hope this is the last year they continue to try and work with him. I watch a minimum of half the Brewer games and have yet to see any improvement consistently enough. He still makes fundamental errors in the field and continues to swing at terrible pitches, always trying to pull the ball. His OBP has increased I guess, but with a .238 BA, it is still not very good, especially for a less than stellar fielding 2nd baseman.
Also, did anyone else get into the WBC. I really like having decent (not always great) baseball being played and like the concept. Does it need to be tweaked, probably, but is it more that the players need to put in more time beforehand, especially the pitchers. Also, why is it that the US has the majority of sound fundamentals and game management? It reminds me of the USA basketball teams… sports in a lot of regards has become all flash and no substance.
